Greetings, you musical mad scientist you...
....and congratulations on your selection of a genuine Make: Dogbotic Boxytone. We know you have your choice of circuitry projects-in-a-box, and appreciate you chose us. Let’s be pals.
The Boxytone is a musical synthesizer (or “synth” if you’re in a hurry). A synth is an instrument that pushes and pulls electric charges. The changing electric charges make a speaker go in and out. If a speaker wiggles around quickly enough, your ear and brain will recognize it as a musical note.
The Boxytone has a bunch of nifty features:
• One square wave oscillator with four tunable keys,
• A master tuner that allows you to re-tune your keys all together,
• Portamento toggle, which makes your synth glide from note to note,
• A built-in amplifier and speaker for instant playability,
• USB powered, so you can irritate your co-workers,
• 9V battery powered, so you can irritate your friends on the go,
• Makes people say “oh woah that’s cool”
