 Sugar Skulls are a centuries old Mexican tradition dating back to the Aztecs and were used to celebrate the lives of those who are deceased. The originals were made of sugar but this colorful art form is now seen in many different media, including this lasered one.

This project provides a maker-twist to this popular tradition with the introduction of LEDs, conductive tape and a battery to create your own, hand colored sugar skull with festive RGB* eyes!

Use colored pencils or markers to decorate your sugar skull, or flip it over and for a blank slate to make your own design. Features a cut out hole you can use to hang spookily in your haunted house, or grab a big paperclip and use it as an blinky hoodie pull tab while you are out collecting your treats in the night (or y'know just sitting around the couch eating that whole bag of candy, no judgement here).

This kit is also educational and teaches simple circuits, featuring series and parallel wirings for your LEDs. Most of the parts can be re-purposed for other projects too, the battery holder & LEDs are awesome for cosplay or creating other glowing wearables.
